The American Association for Justice’s 2020 Annual Convention will be held in Washington, D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Registration is in Hall D of the Washington Convention Center. The registration hours are as follows:
Friday, July 10   2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Saturday, July 11   7:30 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday, July 12   7:30 am – 6:00 pm
Monday, July 13   7:30 am – 6:00 pm
Tuesday, July 14   7:30 am – 12:00 pm
The Exhibit Hall is in Hall D of the Washington Convention Center. The Exhibit Hall Hours are as follows:
Friday, July 10   2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Saturday, July 11   8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Sunday, July 12   8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Monday, July 13   8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Attending an AAJ Convention is an exclusive benefit provided only to the following AAJ member types and their guest: Regular, Sustaining, President’s Club, Life, Paralegal Affiliates, Government, Military, Retired, Law Students, Law Graduates, and Law Professors. Judges as well a State and Provincial Trial Lawyers Association Directors and their Staff are welcome.

Housing is available for AAJ members attending the convention. To register for housing, please Click Here.

There will be stations set-up at the AAJ booth, the Registration desk and out front of various meeting rooms, where you will be able to find the CLE Forms and instructions on filing them out. Please return the completed forms to the AAJ Booth before you leave the Convention. If you do not get a chance to do so, please email or fax them to AAJ.

The app for the Convention will be available for download approximately one week prior to convention. You will receive an email prior, containing the download instructions along with your login and password to access the app.

You have until July 3, 2020 to register by phone or fax, but you can register throughout the convention online until July 14, 2020.

AAJ is continuously looking for new, energetic speakers to share their knowledge and skills with the AAJ community. More information on serving as a CLE speaker can be found online at

Yes, you can transfer your registration. The person must be a member of AAJ and an eligible member type to attend convention. Please email and be sure to include the new registrants name and contact information.

All Cancellations must be submitted in writing to AAJ at CONVENTIONCANCELLATION@JUSTICE.ORG. Cancellations received by May 8, 2020, will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations received between May 9 - June 12, 2020, will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. After June 12, 2020, requests for refunds will not be honored or transferable to future conventions. Please email your request to No exceptions will be made.

AAJ will not cancel your hotel reservation, you must do that directly with OnPeak at AAJ@ONPEAKEVENTS.COM. After the housing cut-off, you will need to contact the hotel.

Childcare services will be provided. Further information will be provided at a later date.

The dress code for the Annual Convention is Business Attire for AAJ functions.

The hotels are within a 10-12-minute drive of Reagan National Airport.

The Marriot Marquis is connected to the Washington Convention Center via underground concourse. The Renaissance is located directly across the street from the Washington Convention Center and is a 3-minute walk; while the Marriott Washington at Metro Center is a brief walk, 9-10-minutes or a 3-4-minute drive to the Center.

Yes, there will be WIFI at the convention. The information will be provided onsite upon check-in.
