Community Service Project
Founded in 1995, On The Rise is a daytime resource and community for women in Greater Boston who are homeless or living in crisis. In a dignified home in Cambridge, MA, On The Rise’s Safe Haven Program provides women with the essentials for daily survival (safety, clothes, food, showers) and builds trusting relationships that help women move beyond crisis toward greater well-being. Through Trial Lawyers Care, AAJ members will be volunteering at On The Rise on Saturday, July 22. In addition, volunteers are needed to resource and create cleaning buckets for women who have recently moved into an apartment. We encourage members to visit the Cleaning Buckets Wish list to buy/ship items to ready the materials.
We are asking attendees to drop off donations of toiletries for On The Rise (including un-used or slightly used hotel amenities) in the donation bin located in The HUB during the exhibit hours.

The Food Bank serves 190 communities in eastern Massachusetts. They depend on volunteers to inspect, sort, and repack "salvaged" food and grocery products that are received. These items are then redistributed to nearly 600 hunger-relief agencies throughout eastern Massachusetts. The help you supply is real, tangible, and relied on by more than 394,000 people who benefit annually from the food we provide. All volunteers must pre-register as individuals by filling out the individual application form or the group volunteer form (for any group larger than 5 people). Cradles to Crayons is one of the premier volunteer experiences for youth and adults in Boston. While at the Giving Factory, you might inspect books, pack clothing, sort through toys, stuff backpacks, or fill orders for local boys and girls. Before you come for your shift, please look through your home for new and gently used children's clothing, books, safety equipment or toys to bring with you to donate. Interested groups should complete the online registration form on the Cradles to Crayons website.
