The American Association for Justice’s 2018 Annual Convention will be held in Denver, Colorado at the Colorado Convention Center.

Registration is in the Mile High Ballroom of the Colorado Convention Center. The registration hours are as follows:

Friday, July 6  2:00 pm -5:00 pm
Saturday, July 7  7:30 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday, July 8  7:30 am – 6:00 pm
Monday, July 9  7:30 am – 6:00 pm
Tuesday, July 10  7:30 am – 6:00 pm
The Exhibit Hall is in the Mile High Ballroom of the Colorado Convention Center. The Exhibit Hall Hours are as follows:

Sunday, July 8, 2018 -----------8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Monday, July 9, 2018 -----------8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Attending an AAJ Convention is an exclusive benefit provided only to the following AAJ member types and their guest:
Regular, Sustaining, President’s Club, Life, Paralegal Affiliates, Government, Military, Retired, Law Students, Law Graduates, and Law Professors. Judges as well a State and Provincial Trial Lawyers Association Directors and their Staff are welcome.

No, you must register for the convention to receive the hotel link within your confirmation. To register for the convention, please Click Here.

Upon check-in, you will receive a packet that includes the CLE Forms and instructions on filing them out. Please return the completed forms to the AAJ Booth before you leave the Convention. If you do not get a chance to do so, please email or fax them to AAJ.

The app for the Convention will be available for download approximately one week prior to convention. You will receive an email prior, containing the download instructions along with your login and password to access the app.

Registrations will be received by phone, fax, online, and onsite through July 10, 2018.

Yes, you can transfer your registration. The person must be a member of AAJ and an eligible member type to attend convention. Please email conventioncancellation@justice.org and be sure to include the new registrants name and contact information.

All Cancellations must be submitted in writing to AAJ at CONVENTIONCANCELLATION@JUSTICE.ORG.
Cancellations received by May 11, 2018 will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations received between May 12 and June 15, 2018, will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. After June 15, 2018, requests for refunds will not be honored or transferrable to future conventions. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

AAJ will not cancel your hotel reservation, you must do that directly with OnPeak or the hotel.

Childcare services will be provided at the Hyatt Regency Denver during AAJ scheduled meetings and Events. Parents will coordinate directly with Tots on the Spot for their child care needs. Please click here for more details.

The dress code for the Annual Convention is Business Attire for AAJ functions.

The Hyatt Regency is adjacent to the Convention Center. The Grand Hyatt and the Four Seasons Hotels are approximately three blocks from the Convention Center.

Yes, there will be WIFI at the convention. The information will be provided onsite upon check-in.

The Denver International Airport is approximately 25 miles from the main hotels.

The 2018 elections will be held during the Annual AAJ Membership Business and Elections Meeting beginning at 5:15 p.m. MT on Monday, July 9 in the Four Seasons Ballroom 3/4 of the Colorado Convention Center. Candidates for non-contested elections will be elected during the meeting. Electronic voting will be conducted for the contested election for the office of Parliamentarian, beginning at the conclusion of the Membership Business and Elections Meeting and continuing until 12 p.m. MT on Tuesday, July 10. To be eligible to vote in the 2018 AAJ National Officer Elections, you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • You must be a voting member of AAJ, which is limited to these member categories: Regular, Life, Sustaining, President’s Club, Honorary Life; or retired members who were formerly Regular, Life, Sustaining, or President’s Club Members.
  • You must be a voting member of AAJ in good standing for at least 30 days prior to the start of the Annual Convention (June 7, 2018).
  • You must be a paid registrant for the full convention week (registered for the “total package” or “education programs only”).
  • You must personally check in at the Annual Convention, receive an AAJ convention badge onsite, and agree that no other person will be allowed to cast your vote.
  • We encourage you to attend the Membership Business and Elections Meeting, but it is not required to vote.

Child Care:

Child care services will be provided from Saturday, July 7 – Tuesday, July 10 at the Hyatt Regency Denver during AAJ scheduled meetings and events. Services will be provided by Tots on the Spot, a local based child care service provider.
